What Can Divergent DVM Do for You?

Divergent DVM provides holistic and integrative veterinary care focused on identifying underlying imbalances and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal.

Each patient is evaluated as an individual, considering factors such as nutrition, movement, lifestyle, environment, and overall health patterns.

Appointments may incorporate multiple integrative therapies depending on the needs of the patient.

Small Animal Holistic Exams

Small animal holistic appointments are scheduled on an hourly basis.

These appointments may include:

• Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) evaluation

• Comprehensive physical examination

• Acupuncture

• Veterinary spinal manipulation (medical manipulation/chiropractic)

• Nutrition and food therapy discussion

• Herbal medicine recommendations

• Aromatherapy

• Reiki energy therapy

• Therapeutic laser therapy

Additional therapies may be incorporated as appropriate for the individual patient.

Each appointment also includes a follow-up summary email outlining findings and recommendations.

Equine Holistic Exams

Equine holistic exams are $200 per horse and may include:

• TCVM evaluation

• Physical and biomechanical examination

• Acupuncture

• Equine veterinary spinal manipulation (“chiropractic”)

• Nutrition and feeding recommendations

• Herbal medicine recommendations

• Aromatherapy

• Laser therapy

• Additional integrative therapies as needed

These appointments focus on performance, mobility, and whole-horse wellness.

Integrative Treatment Approach

Appointments often incorporate several therapies during the same visit. Modalities commonly used include:

• Acupuncture

• Veterinary spinal manipulation

• Chinese herbal medicine

• Nutritional therapy and food medicine

• Aromatherapy

• Reiki energy therapy

• Therapeutic laser therapy

Treatment plans are customized based on the individual animal’s condition and overall health pattern.

Herbal & Product Recommendations

When appropriate, Chinese herbal formulas may be prescribed and shipped directly to clients.

Additional supportive products such as nutritional supplements, aromatherapy blends, or dietary recommendations may also be suggested. These products are optional and may be purchased at the owner’s discretion.

In some cases, custom Western herbal tinctures or teas may be prepared by Dr. Lisa for specific patients or conditions.

Scope of Practice

Divergent DVM focuses exclusively on holistic and integrative veterinary medicine.

The practice does not provide:

• Emergency care

• Vaccinations

• Routine laboratory testing

• Surgical procedures

• General conventional veterinary services

Clients are encouraged to maintain a relationship with a primary care veterinarian for routine and emergency medical needs.

Holistic care works best as a complement to conventional veterinary medicine, allowing animals to benefit from a comprehensive approach to health.
